This is another portrait commissioned by his daughter Princess Pragya after his death,it is formal western type portrait.

This the portrait of Late Maharaja Kirit Bikram Manikya Bahadur of Tripura.He was my first patron who admired my paintings very much remained my chief patron untill his death.I still remember him for his kind support to carry away my career as classical portrait artist.

About myself
I was born in 1976 at Calcutta,now Kolkata,India. Since my childhood I have been very much passionate about realistic drawing & painting, especially inspired by The Western Masters. Oil is my favorite & preferable medium but also working commendably with other mediums like watercolor, acrylic, dry pastel, pencil and charcoal. Besides painting also I have the interest in modeling sculpture with clay, terracotta and plaster.
First Art Teacher: Before the admission in Art College Mr.Arun Banik , Eminent Artist and Art Teacher taught the basic lessons of drawing and painting with great care for a long time.

Academic Qualification
2000: I had completed my Graduation from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata,one of the old and renouned art institute in India,established in 19th century during the British Rule. After successfully completing 5years bachelor degree course (Bachelor of Visual Art) with First Class First in the Stream of Fine Arts (Western Style). 2002: Completed 2 years Post graduation (Master of Visual Art) with First Class in the stream of Fine Arts (Painting) from the same Institute. Both degrees are under the affiliation of Calcutta University.
Exhibition:
I had been participated in few major National and State level shows enlisted below but still has no solo exhibition.
• Annual Exhibition organized by Govt. College of Art & Craft Kolkata in the year 1997, 1998,1999,2000,2001.
ii) State Annual Exhibition, Kolkata organized by ‘Rajya Charukala Parshad’ in the year 1997, 1998.
• All India Annual Exhibition of Fine Art at Kolkata organized by Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata in the year 1998.
• 5th Eastern Region Exhibition, Kolkata organized by Camlin Art Foundation in the year 2004.
• Exhibition of Paintings(2nd phase) on Contemporary Art to observe the sesquicentennial birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore at Town Hall of Kolkata organized by Kolkata Museum Society in the year 2010.
• 43th Annual Exhibition organized by Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata in the year 2010.
• 44th Annual Exhibition organized by Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata in the year 2011.
• 7th All India Portrait Exhibition organized by All India Fine Art & Craft Society (AIFACS), New Delhi in the year 2013.
• 45th Annual Exhibition organized by Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata in 2013
Awards:
I have received few awards for his excellence in human portraiture & academic study, mentioned bellow-
• ‘Rashbehari Dutta Memorial Scholarship for Portraiture’ in the year 1997, 1998.
• ‘Atul Bose Award for Academic Painting’ in the year 1999. Both from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata.
• ‘All India Best Portrait Award’ in 7th All India Portrait Exhibition ,2013 from All India Fine Art & Craft Society(AIFACS), New Delhi.
Art Teaching & Demonstration:
i) Appointed as a guest lecturer in Fine Art Faculty of B.J.S. Rampuria College, Bikaner. Rajasthan to take special painting classes focusing on Academic Realism in 2009. ii) Appointed to teach and demonstrate a Portrait Workshop hosted by Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata in 2012.
Professional Achievement:
Now I'm completely devoted in the world of painting concentrating on the style of Realism, esp. human portraiture to keep alive this classic tradition. I have been working under the patronage of Tripura Royal Family since 2003 and also for other aristocrats in India and abroad. Late H.M. K.B.K. Deb Burman, Maharaja of Tripura was my Chief Patron.
